"Bendy and the Ink Factory™ is a first-person survival horror. Return to the world of Joey Drew Studios like never before. The dark truth is hanging in the shadows... waiting to devour you. The rubberhose nightmare continues.. But eventually, everything must end."
The summary of Bendy and the Ink Factory

Bendy and the Ink Factory, abbreviated as BatIF, is the upcoming third installment of the mainline Bendy saga and is confirmed to be the last game of the main series.[1] Developed by Joey Drew Studios Inc, the game was officially announced on April 18th, 2024, with a release date yet to be revealed.

Summary

The final conclusion to the Bendy trilogy arrives, completing the dark adventure that began in "Bendy and the Ink Machine" and deepened in "Bendy and the Dark Revival". As the final installment in this iconic horror series, "Bendy and the Ink Factory" returns to present the ultimate climax to years of ink-stained mysteries, heart-pounding chases, and unforgettable characters that have captivated millions of fans worldwide.

Descend into the infamous Joey Drew Studios once more, where cartoon nightmares come to life, rising from their dark puddles. Survive the horrific challenges of two worlds, bound by ink and a terrible machine. With a legacy of atmospheric storytelling, eerily beautiful hand-drawn visuals, and sudden encounters, "Bendy and the Ink Factory" returns to the series' rubberhose roots with an even darker, even inkier horror adventure.

Everything must end.

Development

The game was first mentioned by theMeatly in 2024, originally stating that the game would be developed after releasing Bendy: The Cage. Shortly after Bendy: Secrets of the Machine was released, one of the patched updates added the third game's teaser image to the Drawing Board's teaser room, revealing its codename title as "B3ndy". On April 18th, 2024, it was later officially announced on Twitter that the game had now entered its pre-production stage.[2]

Throughout the first few months of 2025 (January to August), a few notable things were stated by theMeatly about B3ndy:

  • Bendy: The Cage was not the same as B3ndy at the time.[3]
  • New characters will be featured, but it will mainly focus on previous characters getting their conclusions.[4]
  • The game's lighting will not have the same blue tone Bendy and the Dark Revival did, instead returning to something that moreso matched Bendy and the Ink Machine.[5]
  • B3ndy will be a different "beast," to Bendy and the Dark Revival, but it will have the charm of Bendy and the Ink Machine, along with much better gameplay compared to the previous two games.[6]
  • B3ndy will feature new enemy types, with some contain greatly-increased "spook level".[7]
  • The Ink Demon will receive another redesign in B3ndy, turning him into a "horrific, roaming presence" as a constant threat in new ways not yet seen before in previous Bendy games.[8]

On April 14th, 2025, Bendy: The Cage was removed from Steam and the Joey Drew Studios website. After the 4/14 event's closing, theMeatly announced that Bendy: The Cage had been put on ice. This was due to the content within the game being considered to be better suited for B3ndy. When Bendy: The Cage's story will be brought back is unknown, but it will certainly return at a later time.[9]

On August 19, 2025, Joey Drew Studios Inc uploaded a video for B3ndy's title reveal and it was scheduled to premiere on August 27th. On the aforementioned date, the video premiered, finally revealing its official title.

Behind the scenes

In the announcement image, there appears to be a robotic arm which matches exactly with Tom's prosthetic arm, potentially hinting at his appearance or relevance in the upcoming game.

Other information

Mike D has jokingly referred to the third game as "Bendy and the Third Game Machine".[10]

theMeatly (April 14, 2025). "It IS true. The Cage has been put on ice. The reason? Honestly, we loved what was being made so much while working on it that we realized that a lot of the ideas and mechanics were far too exciting for just a spinoff game. This was Bendy 3 material! The Cage was an excellent springboard project for cool stuff. So a LOT (if not MOST) of The Cage has been rolled into Bendy 3 and not lost. You will get to experience its best creepy goodies. That said, the story obviously will be saved for another time. :)...". X/Twitter.
