Betty is a caricature-like failed experiment created by Wilson Arch as his housemaid to house keep his mansion.

History

Early life

With a long line of failed experiments, Betty was invented by Wilson as his personal house keeper, being brought under Wilson's protection sometime after he instated his rule over the ink realm. She does not trust Wilson, but stays with him for the security he provides from the horrors of her world. Wilson liked to keep her around, telling her she reminded him of his mother despite Betty not knowing what a mother is.

Meeting Audrey

Betty was tasked with bringing Audrey to her room when Wilson brought Audrey to his private stronghold. As she did so, she was happy that she had someone she could actually talk to, and advised Audrey to drink a special drink to get some sleep.

Later on, Betty is relieved by Audrey returning safely after being kidnapped by Alice Angel. Betty then asks her to head down to see Wilson, while requesting to fetch her a recipe box from Ye Olde Farmer's Market at the Lost City; she states she would normally have to sneak out of the mansion to get the groceries, but is unable to do so as of late, this has to rely on outside help that she would normally not ask of a guest. Completing this errand gives access to a memory.

Characteristics

Physical appearance

Betty is an experiment based on a human being. She wears a strapless beige top with a black waist band, sleeves, and dress. She also seems to wear a black ribboned choker on her neck. Her most notable feature is that she is wearing a wooden mask with empty sockets, black lipstick, and a wavy wooden bobcut wearing a ribbon on the side. Her hands are covered in various wrinkles with black nail polish.

Personality

Betty is a soft spoken yet concerned woman who is very much aware of the chaos that is happening in the studio. She seems surprised by Audrey's stability and comments on how most of the residents are either mute or insane.

She has knowledge for natural remedies, or at least a cartoon version of it, as the drink made for insomnia is her own recipe, but she often forgets to add the gilson.

Betty is a supporting character who appeared in the fifth chapter of Bendy and the Dark Revival.

Development

Betty, while conceptualized at one point during development of Bendy and the Dark Revival, has her name confirmed in a tweet by theMeatly prior to the release of Bendy and the Dark Revival.

Betty was voiced by Ally Murphy in Bendy and the Dark Revival.

Wilson's laboratory is downstairs, and then... there's the north wing, the Ink Demon got in there a while ago and ever since we've had to keep the north wing locked up tight. I'm afraid it's fallen into ruin by now. All those juicy, lovely books gone to waste. Only Keepers go there these days, and they'll tear you apart limb from limb if Wilson isn't with you.
