The Gent Workshop is a factory building located at an old town in Brooklyn, New York City. The workshop is the headquarters of the Gent Corporation, where the company experimented on their volunteered test subjects before the building was condemned on October 31, 1952.
History
Establishment
The Gent Workshop was built at an old town within Brooklyn around an unknown time. After the building went up, a lot would change in the town, such as the company building an underground tunnel under the streets to connect their workshop to the Joey Drew Studios building. The construction of this tunnel would concern some of the local residents as some saw this as a sign that they were up to no good.
While their technology advanced, an ID card machine was installed to the Gent Workshop to prevent any unauthorized entry; the employees had to bring their ID cards for entry and wouldn't be able to get inside the building otherwise.
Advertising for experiments
After some time, the Gent company would start advertising for jobs; becoming a research subject for the company with the salary of $350 per week. The volunteers were mostly homeless, forgotten people from the streets or former criminals that desperately needed money. The research subjects were killed through unknown methods like a "clockwork march" and were put inside body bags, which were sent down a chute. Afterwards, they seem to have been turned into ink creatures for research about as of yet unclear subjects.
Around this time, other workers would join the Gent Workshop. Steve McGregor, a handyman and a newbie at the company, would get turned into a Lurker and presumably get transported to the ink realm. Riley Wells would also join the company at some point, seemingly as a research subject. What happened to her is unknown, however she is shown to interact with an ink cartridge, implying she was also experimented on with the ink.
Condemnation
At October 31rst of 1952, the Gent Workshop was condemned for unclear reasons. What happened to the Gent Corporation, as a whole, after the condemnation of their workshop is unknown.

- Thomas Connor (Mechanic, repairman, and liaison for Joey Drew Studios)
