The Ghost[a] is a Phantom that haunts the lower layers of the ink realm.[1]
History
While its origin is unexplored, this creature is found in the hidden room, which was found underneath the Drawing Board. It generally roams around the thicker shadows where no light can shine, usually can be seen down the halls, doors, and other areas; only its glowing eyes are visible from the darkness.
Physical appearance
It is a tall blurry ink creature taking a bipedal shape, with spindly limbs, four-fingered claws, a large gap in place of the stomach and chest, and a lump-shaped head with four glowing orange eyes.
Behind the scenes
The Ghost is a hidden entity that appears in Bendy: Secrets of the Machine. It was introduced in update patch #49, which was released on August 8, 2025.[1]
Other information
When reversing and editing the creature's whisper, the voice can be quietly heard reading "The Ghosts" memo from Bendy and the Dark Revival, revealing that the entity and the "Phantoms of the Machine" are of the same species.
As seen in the game files, the creature only exists as a 2D render file instead of a full 3D model.
Strangely, it also appears in the newly added basement room, but is always deactivated.
