Audio log transcript's glitched name

  • Type: Cosmetic
  • Platform: PC
  • Status: Unknown
  • Description: Occasionally, the game will display names incorrectly in the transcripts of audio logs found in the studio, displaying file extensions in the format 'AUDIOLOG/NAME_<FIRST NAME>" instead of the correct '<First name> <Last name>' format.

Afterlife vision

  • Type: Cosmetic
  • Platform: PC
  • Status: Fixed
  • Description: In Chapter 2: The Old Song, if bringing the Miner Searcher or the regular Searcher from the Infirmary with Henry to the Music Department hall and then getting clobbered by Sammy after activating the pump switch in Sammy's office, the Searcher will keep attacking Henry. If Henry dies with enough damage, he will respawn to the sacrifice room instead of the Bendy statue, but the ink effects will still play. This will extend to the end of the chapter but can be fixed by exiting the game and reopening the save file.

Alice Angel's delayed speech

  • Type: Cosmetic
  • Platform: PC
  • Status: Unknown
  • Description: In Chapter 3: Rise and Fall, if hitting the wall with Henry's weapon near when Alice drops the elevator down, there will be a bug causing Alice's voice and subtitles to be far out of sync, leading her speech to finish to the end of the chapter. A similar glitch may also happen: When Henry travels down to the Inky Abyss, Alice may repeat her line about the Projectionist.

  • Status: Recent
  • Description: Sometimes the black screen will show in few ways:
    • Loading the save file from the menu after the update following the release of Chapter 5: The Last Reel.
    • In the PlayStation 4 port, completing the post-Chapter 5 epilogue will sometimes cause the game to end up with a black screen after Henry restarts his cycle, preventing the cinematic credits from playing as well as from unlocking The Archives chapter and the Seeing Tool-related replay value.

  • Platform: PC
  • Status: Fixed
  • Description: In Chapter 3: Rise and Fall, from the Piper's first encounter, Henry can still hit the Piper before he even pops out of The Butcher Gang poster without moving closer to the switch. Doing so causes the Piper to clip out of the poster without triggering his introduction animation, standing on thin air in a static pose. The Piper will still follow after Henry, but cannot harm him. It is also still possible to kill him. However, making this bug occur renders Henry unable to activate the switch, even after killing the Piper, and this will stay until restarting the game.
    • In Chapter 3's first release before the Chapter 4 update, this bug was slightly different. When hit, the Piper remains behind the poster instead of clipping out and following after Henry. With enough hits, the dying Piper will clip through the poster, dangling on thin air before vanishing into ink.

Butcher Gang-ed up

  • Type: Game-breaking
  • Platform: PC
  • Status: Fixed
  • Description: In Chapter 3: Rise and Fall, from the lobby area on Level 9 during Alice's task, when getting killed by the Butcher Gang close to the Bendy statue, the player will respawn but gets quickly killed by the enemies as soon as he does so, creating a loop and preventing the player from escaping.

Butcher Gang's elevator ride

Striker, as an example, stuck on top of the elevator.
  • Type: Game-breaking
  • Platform: PC
  • Status: Fixed
  • Description: In Chapter 3: Rise and Fall, when luring the Butcher Gang enemy to the elevator, the player can trigger two different bugs. If going up to upper levels, the Butcher Gang member will drop down, clipping out of the map. If going down to lower levels, the member will rise up until getting on top of the elevator. Doing so in either way will cause the Butcher Gang enemy to be permanently stuck, and if the enemy is stuck while holding a fetch quest item, it would soft-lock the player's progress.

Clipping wall

  • Type: Game-breaking
  • Platform: PC
  • Status: Unknown
  • Description: In Chapter 5: The Last Reel, during the fight with Sammy, it is possible for him to push Henry through the wall in the area he emerges from, making it impossible to exit the area after entering it. Reloading the game is a way to advance.

    • After this was noticed by Youtuber TZKUnit, the developers put a pair of broken headphones near Norman Polk's audio log as a reference to TZKUnit as a way of saying thanks.

End game soft-lock

  • Type: Game-breaking
  • Platform: PC
  • Status: Unknown
  • Description: In Chapter 3: Rise and Fall, when the player is about to enter the elevator to end the game, if entering for the second time the gates will open but does not close, preventing the final cutscene from starting. The only way to fix this bug is to restart the save.

Endless earthquakes

  • Type: Cosmetic
  • Platform: PC

  • Type: Game-breaking
  • Platform: PC
  • Status: Unknown
  • Description: On random occasions, a soft-lock glitch would cause the player to fall out of the map. How this happened is unknown.
    • A similar glitch also happened in the game's prototype demo. After falling into a room from the lower level, grab the axe and start chopping boards to clear a path. Then, walk towards the crack from the right side of the hall. After following those steps, Henry has a rare chance to fall out of the map. This bug was later patched in the game's first remastered update for the DLC launch of Chapter 2.

  • Type: Game-breaking
  • Platform: PlayStation 4
  • Status: Unknown
  • Description: In Chapter 3: Rise and Fall, sometimes the player will only be able to find four of the five required ink hearts in Level 14. The only way around this bug is to restart the entire game from scratch in a new save file, but even then, the same bug may be encountered again.

In the ending once the elevator crashed, Henry's point of view is down at Boris' legs. However, despite being fixed on the PC since the DLC release of Chapter 4, a bug returned in console ports.

This was fixed in a patch upon Chapter 4's DLC release.

  • Description: In Chapter 3: Rise and Fall, on Level 14, if the player hides in a Miracle Station when the Projectionist is chasing them, he will continue to do his swiping arm animation, instead of walking away when Henry closes the door. The player cannot exit the Miracle Station and the player will have to reopen the game and the save file. This should save the player's ink heart progress but the Projectionist will automatically be behind the player since he will be between the two entrances to the maze until they hide again or walk up the stairs to the elevator, for which the Projectionist cannot get to. This can sometimes add to the incorrect ink heart count glitch.

  • Status: Fixed
  • Description: In Chapter 3: Rise and Fall, Ink Bendy will sometimes stop moving while his walking animation keeps playing. It is also notable during the task of breaking the Bendy cutouts on Level K, where frequently breaking the cutouts will cause the Ink Demon to be stuck in the hallway after the angel and demon path rooms, making it impossible to pass through without dying. It was later fixed in the last remastered edition update for the DLC release of Chapter 4: Colossal Wonders.
    • A similar glitch also happened in the Android/iOS mobile ports, in Chapter 2: The Old Song where the Ink Demon gets stuck somewhere in the beginning of the maze and would not chase the player to the end. • Type: Cosmetic
  • Platform: PC
  • Status: Fixed
  • Description: In Chapter 3: Rise and Fall, there is a trick that allows the player to trap the Ink Demon in the elevator and take him down to Level 14. The Ink Demon will often get stuck on walls and such, as he has no set path when down there. • Type: Functional disruption
  • Platform: PC
  • Status: Fixed
  • Description: In Chapter 3: Rise and Fall, if playing Wally's "Crack a Smile" audio log, then walk away and coming back, it would cause the log's transcript to remain on camera indefinitely. This can be fixed by playing the audio log again.
