New York City, also called New York, is one of the most populous cities of the United States. Located at the southern tip of New York State on one of the world's largest natural harbors, the city comprises five boroughs, each coextensive with a respective county. New York is a global center of finance and commerce, culture, technology, entertainment and media, academics and scientific output, the arts and fashion.
List of locations
Manhattan
The most densely populated of the five boroughs. Manhattan serves as New York City's economic and administrative center and has been described as the cultural, financial, media, and entertainment capital of the world.
Broadway
A road that runs from State Street at Bowling Green through the borough of Manhattan and the Bronx. Broadway in Manhattan is known widely as the heart of the American commercial theatrical industry, and is used as a metonym for it.
Times Square
A major commercial intersection, tourist destination, entertainment center, and neighborhood in the Midtown Manhattan section.
Lower East Side
A neighborhood where Buddy Lewek and his family lived. It is located in the southeastern part of the New York City borough of Manhattan.
Upper East Side
A neighborhood in the borough of Manhattan in New York City. Once known as the Silk Stocking District, it has long been the most affluent neighborhood in New York City.
Central Park
The urban park of New York City, located between the Upper West Side and the Upper East Side. Buddy recalls his past story about sneaking around his neighborhood just like he did on the artists in Central Park.[1]
Christopher Street
The street found in the West Village neighborhood of Manhattan.
Brooklyn
It is a borough of New York City. Located on the westernmost end of Long Island. It's the second-most-densely-populated county in the United States, behind Manhattan.
East River
It is a saltwater tidal estuary or strait in New York City. The waterway, which is not a river despite its name, connects Upper New York Bay on its south end to Long Island Sound on its north end.

Newspaper publishing companies
These companies publish newspapers that cover newsworthy events occurring in New York City and beyond. They feature articles by various authors and compile them into newspapers intended for readers who want to stay informed about current events both locally and globally.
The Erie Daily Times

The Erie Daily Times is a newspaper publishing company. They published a late edition issue mentioning the information on the character of Alice Angel in September 12, 1933.
World Herald

The World Herald is a weekly newspaper publishing company. In 1946, they published a newspaper article concerning an investigation concerning Joey Drew Studios' financial danger and their questionable work ethics.
Animation studios
These companies produce animated media to entertain audiences in New York City, earning profits through theaters and TV stations that broadcast their work. They produce animated cartoons through the efforts of their departments and put them onto film reels to be shown on screens.
Joey Drew Studios

Joey Drew Studios was an animation studio founded in Broadway, Manhattan on 1929. The studio produced the once-famous Bendy cartoon brand, which grew in popularity until 1941 during World War II, after which it slowly declined. Eventually, the studio closed down in 1948. Even though the studio location was real estate, no one else moved in because of the studio's troubled past.
Construction companies
These companies specialize in the construction and production of installations and tools, selling these products and providing service to residents of New York City. They usually build their own branded products and provide professional service to both companies and individuals.
Gent Corporation

The Gent Corporation is a contracting firm based out of Atlantic City. The firm later opened offices across the Eastern Seaboard, including a factory that was likely located in New York City.
- The Gent factory is a facility and office where Gent gathered their research subjects for unethical experimentation, before shutting down alongside the company itself around October 1952.
MacArthur Steel Co

MacArthur Steel Co is a metalworking company founded in 1874 at the 23 Baker Street of Brooklyn. On June 23, 1944, Bertrum Piedmont purchased 104 units of industrial-grade steel for use in his construction of the Bendy Land amusement park.

Kismet Production Studios was founded in Manhattan as a television show production company. It produced four shows that actively aired, and had The Joey Drew Show pre-produced and air on January 1953.
New York Public Library

The New York Public Library is a large public library based out of a block in Manhattan. It is said to be around for quite a while. Most people use the library for reading or borrowing of books while others have picnics at the steps.[2]
Court Theater

The Court Theater was a theater located next door to Joey Drew Studios on Broadway, Manhattan. It functioned as a theater until it was bought by Joey Drew in 1946 and made part of the studio. It was then used for the production of Bendy-related material, and it also served as the storage area for the Ink Machine.
Joe's Fine Dining

Joe's Fine Dining is a diner located on 555 Christopher Street, New York City. This is the place where Susie Campbell was invited for a welcome lunch by Joey Drew.

Behind the scenes
New York City is a recurring setting and location of the novel series that first appeared in the first chapter of Bendy: Dreams Come to Life. The city serves as the primary setting of Bendy: Dreams Come to Life and Bendy: Fade to Black, and a major setting in Bendy: The Illusion of Living.
Inspirations
Most of the locations in New York City are inspired by their real-life counterparts with in-universe elements added to them.
The in-universe versions of real-life establishments include the New York Public Library, appearing in Fade to Black, and the Sardi's restaurant, appearing in Dreams Come to Life. Other locations include the Brooklyn and Manhattan boroughs, both appearing in Dreams Come to Life.
