Version 1.4.0.0 is an update patch released for Bendy and the Ink Machine on April 30, 2018. It was released for the first three previous chapter DLCs upon the launch of Chapter 4: Colossal Wonders as the game's third and last remastered edition update.
Update log
General
- Updated the Ink Demon's model to current.
- Updated the Ink Machine's model to current.
- The locations in all chapters are updated with new ceiling textures.
Chapter 1: Moving Pictures
Additions
- A new location, the Animation Department, is added to replace the boarded staircase location.
- New music tracks are added:
- New quest items added: Two dry cells
Changes
- Updated the Joey Drew Studios' logo sign.
- Updated the locations:
- Animation lobby - The radio speaker is added to the chair next to the projector.
- Ink Machine's loading dock - Receives a massive overhaul.
- The break room
- Boris' room
- Theater - The projector screen's Hello There Bendy clip is updated, replacing theMeatly's original version with Timethehobo's animation. The theater now floods with ink when activating the ink pressure machine.
- Basement
- Updated the "Little Devil Darling" music track.
- All animation desks, except for the one from Henry's deskroom, are replaced with updated models.
- The post-Ink Demon encounter scene has been modified for more intense purposes. Other halls and rooms aside the path to the exit are blocked off.
- The final cutscene has been enhanced, with all flashback-like images replaced, excluding Joey's wheelchair.
- Objection titles renamed:
- "Find the Machine" to "Discover Joey's Secret"
- "Turn on the Machine" to "Turn on the Ink Machine"
- "Run to Exit" to "Escape the Workshop"
- "Drain the Flood" to "Drain the Ink"
- "Clear an Old Path" to "Clear a New Path"
Removed content
- Ritual items' locations are no longer randomly-generated.
- "You Left Me in a Heartbeat" music track is replaced with the whistle cover of Bendy's theme song.
Chapter 2: The Old Song
Additions
- Two new locations are added:
- The sewers
- The pool room, featuring a new minigame as well.
- A new audio log is added, featuring the new character: Jack Fain
- New enemies are added:
- New item added: Valve switch
- New objection added: "Find the Second Valve"
- New achievement added: "A Special Hat"
Changes
- Updated Music Department' logo sign.
- Updated Sammy Lawrence's model to current. His cutscene animation is also ultimately improved.
- Updated Sammy Lawrence's sanctuary, infirmary, hall closet, and the corridor maze.
- Updated the toggle-switches' model to current.
- theMeatly Easter egg is updated, by giving him a tuba.
- Sammy Lawrence now hits Henry with Wally's dustpan in the pre-sacrifice cutscene.
Removed content
- The toggle-switches' locations are no longer randomly-generated.
Chapter 3: Rise and Fall
Additions
- A new location is added: The trailer room.
- A new audio log, featuring Thomas Conner and Wally Franks, is added.
Changes
- The total of items for each fetch quest are reduced from 5 to 3.
- Updated the Projectionist's model to current.
- The dark hallway navigation is optimized: Walking away from Boris will make him stop moving and cover his face in fear, forcing the player to go back and stay close to him in order to continue the progress. Additionally, Henry is given a new dialogue when entering the dark hallways.
- The ink heart quest is optimized. The Projectionist will navigate for the player each time when an ink heart gets collected.
- The hidden Searcher Boss is given a fedora.
Removed content
- The warning pop-up when ready to leave the safehouse is removed.
- Alice Angel's fetch quests are no longer randomly-generated.
