Searcher Boss

This article is about a Searcher variant. For other uses, see Searchers (disambiguation).

The Searcher Boss[a][1] is a colossal Searcher that can be summoned within the Heavenly Toys department.

Characteristics

Physical appearance

This specific Searcher has no proper differences in its appearance to that of a common Searcher, other than two distinctive traits: It is generally humongous in size, and wears a brown fedora-like hat on its head.

Behavior

It behaves similar to how the Searcher Minibosses encountered previously within the Lever Challenge, but with a few key differences. Unlike the minibosses (or any other Searcher, for that matter), it can kill Henry with just two hits. It also takes a lot of hits to kill. To balance its strength and health, it's also heavily slow, and can take a long time to move, allowing Henry to heal in the meantime. It still doesn't disappear when Henry hides, similar to the minibosses.

Gameplay

The Searcher Boss's damage level point total is +4, and it takes only +2 damage points to kill Henry. The boss also has a total of +60 health points, making it the only Bendy and the Ink Machine enemy to have a highest amount of health.

Strategy

During this fight, an easy way to prevent from receiving heavy damage is by moving to behind one of the fences from the low area of the Heavenly Toys room.

Weapon damage data

Weapon name Weapon damage points Total hits
Scythe* +10 damage +10 hits
Axe +3 damage +20 hits
Pipe wrench* +2 damage +30 hits
Tommy gun* +2 damage +30 hits
Plunger* +1 damage +60 hits

Syringe* +1 damage +60 hits
Empty Bacon Soup cans* +1 damage +60 hits

Behind the scenes

The Searcher Boss is an optional boss that's encountered in Bendy and the Ink Machine: Chapter 3. It is exclusive to the Lever Challenge and part of the Internecion route.

Development

The Searcher Boss was first introduced in update patch 1.3.1. When it was first implemented, the Searcher Boss's hat is missing, and plays an earthquake-like rumble instead of a horror vision upon death. Regardless of which path is taken, the Searcher Boss could be reached without changing the ink toy, making it possible to fight it with the Tommy gun. Ultimately, for the DLC release of Chapter 4: Colossal Wonders, all of this was changed for the game's last remastered update.
