Silverlane Express

"Last week, one of the railmen told me they had had reports of some train going through that wasn't on the schedule. There were figures standing in the cars, staring through the windows. The Silverlane Express is a phantom subway train that exists in the ink realm, being the remnants of a train that had crashed on Track 77 in New York City.

History

At some point, the Silverlane Express served as a subway train for transportation around New York City. Later, the train suffered a terrible crash on Track 77, causing it to cease operations.

A few years later, strange phenomena started to occur within Track 77, causing traffic to avoid the track due to reports of disturbing occurrences. Around this time, some railmen saw a phantom train, presumed to be the Silverlane Express, passing through the track despite not being on schedule.

At some undetermined time, the Silverlane Express ended up in the ink realm. Within the realm, the train only appears in Track 77 of the subway under very specific circumstances.

Characteristics

Physical appearance

The Silverlane Express is described as an old subway train, having multiple cars and containing visible phantoms of its passengers.

In-game, the Silverlane Express appears as a semi-transparent, mid-20th-century subway train. It is only one car and does not appear to contain anyone inside despite the audible screams.

Abilities

The Silverlane Express seems to keep its passengers' souls trapped inside itself since their screams can be heard whenever the train passes Track 77.

Gameplay

If the player stands in Track 77 while their system clock is set to 4:14 (AM or PM), a ghostly subway train will quickly pass by on the tracks. The passengers' screams of terror can be heard beneath the screeching of the rails.

Behind the scenes

The Silverlane Express is an Easter egg in Bendy and the Dark Revival, which is mentioned on Kitty's "Ghost Train" memo and physically seen in Chapter 5: The Dark Revival.
