This article refers to the food-branding company. For the founder of Briar Label, see Wilfred Briar.

The Briar Label Company is a food product production and distribution company founded by Wilfred Briar, of which Bendy is a spokestoon for Bacon Soup products to promote his media.[1]

History

Briar Label was founded by Wilfred Briar as a food-branding company.

During World War II, Briar Label partnered with Joey Drew Studios, upon which the food company made a Bendy-branded soup called "Bacon Soup". The Bacon Soup recipe, which is said to be made using a traditional family recipe, was requested to be stored away by Wilfred after being shared with the studio's founder and president, Joey Drew.[1]

As part of the licensing deal, Briar stocked Joey Drew Studios with free Bacon Soup as a thank-you gift. This made the studio have their employees eat the free soup at their desks rather than going out for lunch during breaks.[2]

Behind the scenes

Briar Label is an unseen company, first mentioned in the Joey Drew Studios Employee Handbook and later in its updated edition.
