  • MacArthur Steel Co. is established.

1900s

  • Bertrum Piedmont begins his career in designing amusement parks.[1]

1910s

1914

  • On July 28, the Great War/World War I has begun.

1917

  • On April 6, the United States declares war on Germany.[2]

1918

  • On November 11, World War I ends.

1920s

1920

  • On January 17, Prohibition begins.

1929

  • Joey Drew Studios is established in the spring by Joey Drew and Henry Stein in Brooklyn, New York City, New York.
  • The first Bendy cartoon, Little Devil Darlin', where Bendy premieres, is produced.
  • Two weeks into the studio Henry records his frustration on how his partnership with Joey is going compared to his initial expectations, his decrease in time with Linda, and his excitement towards a new character.[3]
  • The United States Stock Market crashes, resulting in the Great Depression.
  • On November 7, the Museum of Modern Art is opened to the public.

1930s

  • Planning begins on a female character for the cartoons.
  • Henry Stein leaves Joey Drew Studios.[4]

1931

  • On February 10, Joey records his announcement concerning his future plans for the studio, which is stored within the archives.

1932

1933

  • On March 3/4, Susie Campbell meets with Sammy Lawrence for a private discussion.[5]
  • On March 5, Wally Franks' records his reaction to more employees at the studio, which is stored within the archives.
  • On December 5, Prohibition is ended by the the 21st Amendment.

1935

  • On June 16, Sammy Lawrence records his personal struggle concerning his extremely tight schedule, which is stored within the archives.

1939

  • On September 1, the global war, World War II, has begun.

1940s

1940

  • The construction for the Bendyland amusement park begins, under the supervision of Bertrum.
  • On May 19, Bertrum records his objections to Joey Drew's criticisms concerning his Bendyland creative effort, which is stored within the archives.

1941

  • In a wild scheme to make his upcoming Bendyland attraction more interesting, via using real living cartoon mascots instead of hiring people in costumes, Joey Drew strikes a deal with Gent in order to create the Ink Machine in the first place, leading to the creation of the Ink Demon, various experiments gone wrong, and an increasingly large debt to the former bricklaying company.

1943

  • On October, Jack Fain and Sammy Lawrence win an award for one of their Bendy songs (albeit with Joey Drew taking the credit for it).[6]
  • On November 12, Thomas Connor records his initial impression concerning Joey Drew's hiring him, which is stored within the archives.
  • On November 16/17, Joey Drew meets with Thomas Connor to ratify the partnership between their respective companies.[7]
  • On November 18, Jack Fain records his account of his eavesdropping Joey Drew speaking with Thomas Connor, which is stored within the archives.

1944

  • On June 23, Bertrum Piedmont purchases a massive amount of steel from the McArthur Steel Co.
  • Spanning from July 1 to August 1, Joey Drew Studios begins to experience financial troubles, due to excessive spending on Joey Drew's part.

1945

  • On September 2, World War II has ended.

1946

  • The investigation for financial troubles in Joey Drew Studios begins.
  • Several former employees of the studio report citations of Joey Drew's unethical business practices to the general public.

1947

  • On September 25, the New York World-Telegram publishes article Joey Drew Studios In Dire Straights.

1948

  • On July 29, the New York World-Telegram publishes article "Bendy Goes Bankrupt".
  • On August 15, at the time of 9:30 AM, Joey Drew Studios receives a bankruptcy report from Snooks, Spitner and Snooks.
  • On August 28, Joey Drew Studios is defunct due to bankruptcies, legal issues, and health/safety concerns, in accordance to bylaw 11 U.S Code § 1125 (Id est: the prohibition of the misrepresentation of legally established companies), as well as the repercussions of the citations of previous employees years earlier.

1960s

1962

  • On April 14, the New York World-Telegram publishes article "Whatever Happened To Joey Drew Studios?"

1963

  • The events of Bendy and the Ink Machine occur.

1970s

1971

  • Joey Drew passes away.

1972

  • On February 10, Archgate Pictures, an animation company founded by Nathan Arch somewhere several decades ago, buys the rights to Bendy, an article on this is published in The New York Times.
  • Wilson Arch discovers the Ink Machine and starts doing experiments with the Ink Demon. He also prevents the Cycle from resetting by creating the Keepers to stop anyone who poses a threat.
  • On November 19th, Wilson and the Keepers manage to subdue the Ink Demon to a much smaller, weaker form of himself. From this point onwards, Wilson claims he "killed" the Ink Demon.

1973

  • The main setting for Bendy and The Dark Revival.
    • On June 18, Audrey stays back late after work at Archgate Films to finish off drawing Bendy animations. She is tricked by Wilson into turning on the Ink Machine and is transported into the altered Cycle.

Unknown Decade

Note: This section is for all events that happened within unknown decades. The events below are not listed in chronological order nor happen all within the same decade.

  • Wally Franks retires from Joey Drew Studios, and moves with his family to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he founds Franks Handyman Service.
  • Joey Drew, through the power of the Ink Machine, creates an alternative dimension to not only lock away all of his mistakes, but to torment a replica of Henry Stein forevermore.
  • Joey Drew creates Allison Angel to ease Henry's suffering.
  • Audrey Drew is created by Joey Drew.
