Hello Bendy was a crossover event between Hello Neighbor and Bendy and the Ink Machine for Halloween 2017, which was released on October 27, 2017 and ended on October 31, 2017.

While it is still possible to access the Hello Neighbor side of the event via the Betas tab in Steam, the Bendy and the Ink Machine side is no longer available without downloading the build off of Steam's servers via the Steam Console or a third party app.

Hello Neighbor

Hello Neighbor's side of the event gave the game an overall yellow post-processing effect and Theodore Peterson, Sammy Lawrence's mask, as well as replacing his chase theme with "Little Devil Darling" from Bendy and the Ink Machine.

This update also added multiple Bendy-related things around the town of Raven Brooks:

• The Ink Demon's head on the water tower.
• A Bendy statue head in Nicky Roth's fridge.
• Sammy's mask on the neighbouring house to Theodore's house.
• The Ink Demon head in the blue key's overpass.
• A few of the picture frames around Theodore's mansion have Sammy's mask on them.

Bendy and the Ink Machine

Bendy's side of the event replaced the Ink Demon in all three chapters, along with Sammy Lawrence in the second chapter, with the Hello Neighbor antagonist Theodore Peterson, as well as replacing the Ink Demon's chase theme with his own. The game's title is edited to have a keyhole in the letter "D" akin to the Hello Neighbor logo, and an advertisement for Hello Neighbor was added to the title screen, underneath the usual menu buttons.

This update also replaced multiple signs around the ink realm with different phrases, such as:

• In Chapter 1: Moving Pictures, the "Welcome" archway sign is replaced with "Happy Halloween!"
• In Chapter 1: Moving Pictures, the break room's power text "Running" is replaced with "Hello Neighbor".
• In Chapter 2: The Old Song, the stairwell's exit sign is replaced with "Trick or Treat!".
• In Chapter 3: Rise and Fall, the "Demon" and "Angel" signs in the Angel and Demon paths are replaced with "Trick" and "Treat" respectively.
