This article refers to the key owned by Wally Franks. For other uses, see Keys (disambiguation).

"So I go to get my dustpan from the hall closet the other day and guess what? I can't find my stupid keys. It's like they disappeared into thin air or somethin'."
Wally from his "Lost Keys" tape.[1]

Wally's keys are the closet keys use to be owned by Joey Drew Studios' janitor Wally Franks.

History

Around 30 years ago[2] prior to Henry Stein's time in the Cycle, Wally Franks lost his keys twice. For the second time, they were lost to one of the garbage cans while making his rounds a week ago, and would threaten to leave the studio if Sammy catches Wally for losing his keys again.[1]

Characteristics

Physical appearance

They are two identical wooden keys attached to a keyring. Each has three notches, two thin ones and one thick notch, with an added square. Overall, they are a lighter color.

Usage

The keys are used for locking and unlocking Wally's hall closet, where it contains Sammy's "My Favorite Song" audio log.

Gameplay

The item's location is random. The keys can be found in one of the garbage cans at the Music Department entrance as well as its entrance, along with the music writers' room from the Music Department hallway and the recording studio's projection booth. When obtained, Henry can use it to open the hall closet.

Behind the scenes

Wally's keys are a quest item found in Chapter 2: The Old Song of Bendy and the Ink Machine.

When the player takes the keys, a "picked up" animation plays similar to the ritual items from the first chapter. This is along with other items that have this animation.

Also, the keys' pop-up icon appears on the game's menu of the released chapter when they are not purchased or unlocked.
