"This will definitely come in handy."
Henry Stein

The axe is a weapon used for breaking wooden objects as well as a self-defense against the hostile creatures from the Cycle.

It was also one of Henry Stein's primary weapons.

Description

Physical appearance

The weapon appears to be based on a fireman's axe, as it was originally meant to be designed for use in an emergency in case of fire. It has a lighter blade and a black handle, with a wooden tube at the top near the axe-head, and ring near the bottom of the handle.

Usage

Its main usage is for chopping wooden boards and cutouts. It is also used as a melee weapon when fighting monsters encountered in several locations within the Cycle.

Bendy and the Dark Revival

The axe, although unobtainable, reappears in the Pit as contraband in Chapter 4: Factory of Horrors. If Audrey were to return back to the same location in Chapter 5: The Dark Revival, the axe and other equipment were found missing.

Behind the scenes

The axe first appears in Bendy and the Ink Machine from all chapters up to date as the first main weapon of the game. Though it cannot be obtained in Bendy and the Dark Revival, it will return in Bendy: The Cage with new combat skills including the blocking ability.

The axe was added into Bendy and the Ink Machine as a random "end extra" while developing Chapter 1.[1] In the prototype demo, prior to the release of several remastered updates, the axe is held on a wall mount instead of laying on the table, its swinging animation was oddly more smooth, but does not leave cut marks on the walls or any objects when the axe is used on them.

Furthermore, as introduced for the initial DLC release of Chapter 3, it is possible for breaking more wooden objects, such as chairs and barrels. Although this feature was reverted for the DLC release of Chapter 4.

The axe also appeared in Bendy in Nightmare Run as one of the medium-class weapons.
