"Then I hear him. He starts up my projector, and he dashes from the projector booth and down to the recording studio like the little devil himself was chasing behind."
Norman Polk's audio log, Bendy and the Ink Machine: Chapter 2 - The Old Song

The recording studio[1] is a location within the Cycle. It represents the area where people such as Sammy Lawrence would use instruments to play music for the Bendy cartoons.

Background

The area is mainly a tall room with a stage at the front of it. The stage has lots of chairs and music stands on it, along with a banjo, a violin, a drum, and a bass fiddle. Above the stage is a large projector screen, and if the projector in the projection booth is on, the screen will light up with a short clip from Tombstone Picnic. There are also multiple microphones hanging from the ceiling.

The main area of the recording studio is mainly blank; however barrels and chairs can be seen at the back of the area, along with one garbage can and piano. A recording booth is seen through a glass window, containing a music stand, a microphone, and a door. To the left of the recording booth is a metallic gate that leads to Sammy Lawrence's Sanctuary.

 Points of interest

  • This location plays a crucial role:
    • The instruments seen in this room are used to unlock the gate to Sammy's Sanctuary. However, it can only unlock if the projector is on in the projection booth.
  • Wally's keys have a chance to appear in the recording studio's garbage can.
  • A cutout can be seen in the inaccessible projection booth and on the stage, depending on where Henry is.
    • When walking up to the projection booth, turning on the projector, and then walking back down into the recording studio, a cutout will appear in the inaccessible projection booth. Walking back up, the cutouts appear on the stage.
      • Doing this until all nine cutouts appear will give the player the "Strike up the Band" achievement.

Behind the scenes

The recording booth is one of the main locations in Bendy and the Ink Machine: Chapter 2 - The Old Song.

Prior to the DLC release of Chapter 4: Colossal Wonders and after the DLC release of Chapter 3: Rise and Fall, the recording booth had a secret area behind the door inside it, containing Sinny.
