"Wandering is a terrible sin." |
Sinny is an entity based on the cartoon character Bendy and mostly resides around outside of the ink realm.
History
Characteristics
Physical appearance
Sinny appears as a disturbing variation of the cartoon character Bendy. He retains Bendy's basic shape and features but is distinguished by more detailed, ink-stained eyes, ink dripping from his body, and a sign that reads "WANDERING IS A TERRIBLE SIN."
In Bendy and the Dark Revival, Sinny closely resembles the physical manifestation of Bendy while retaining several of his original distinguishing features, such as detailed eyes with ink tears and dripping ink. However, in this appearance, both his eyes and smile are illuminated with a red glow. Additionally, the "WANDERING IS A TERRIBLE SIN." sign is absent in this version.

Bendy and the Ink Machine
- In Chapter 1, Sinny is found in a hallway, located under the trapdoor.
- In Chapter 2, Sinny is found in the hallway after Sammy gets killed. If above the hallway, close to where the Ink Machine is seen being lowered, he can be seen. This one appears to have two Bendy heads on the floor, but they are actually respawn statues sunken in to the ground.
- In Chapter 3, the room where the Projectionist is first seen, there is a gate where he despawns by. Walk behind it to find Sinny at the end of a stairwell.
- In Chapter 4, directly above the Archives is a small room made of stone. In there, Sinny can be found, along with candles, plushies and a crying Lost One.
- In the room where the Ink Demon jumpscares in the vents, down a hallway Sinny can be found.
- In Chapter 5, behind the stone wall where the scythe is obtained, there is a small room with Sinny hiding inside.
- In Chapter ?, Sinny can be found behind one of the giant doors.

Behind the scenes
Sinny is an out-of-bound secret found in the Bendy series.
Development
Sinny was first introduced in the release of Chapter 3 of Bendy and the Ink Machine alongside the same day updates to both Chapters 1 and 2. The developers added him specifically as an easter egg to people who try to hack into places that are usually blocked off from the player, like the staircase that was in Chapter 1 before the remaster that released alongside Chapter 4. Sinny was also added to Chapter 4 and Chapter 5, though there weren't as many added. In fact, some of the Sinny easter eggs in the previous chapters would be removed in future updates. Sinny would not appear in Bendy in Nightmare Run however, as well as Boris and the Dark Survival (at least at that point). Sinny would make a return in Bendy and the Dark Revival where he would serve the same purpose as in Bendy and the Ink Machine. It should be noted that Sinny did not have an official name when he was first introduced. However, youtuber TetraBitGaming in his Lost Bits videos on Bendy and the Ink Machine would coin the name Sinny onto the out of bounds easter egg. The name seemed to grow on the Bendy community and seemed to reach the developers themselves. Alongside the Archives update to Bendy and the Dark Revival, if a player was to hack outside of the Archives area, they could find the easter egg sitting outside, being given a description (Wandering is an Terrible Sin, a reference to the sign he held in Bendy and the Ink Machine) with the name Sinny attached to it, finally making the name official, which is a very similar occurrence with an "golden" easter egg character from another popular horror series. Sinny would appear as a easter egg in Bendy: Lone Wolf (the major overhaul of Boris and the Dark Survival) where he can appear in the 414 level. It can be assumed Sinny may also appear in the upcoming game Bendy and the Ink Factory and maybe even Bendy: The Cage, but only time will tell.
His physical form appeared in Bendy and the Dark Revival, and his official name was revealed in The Archives.[2]
His cutout reappeared in Bendy: Lone Wolf in a secret level "414".
