The Music Department is a location part of the ink realm.

It represents the area where the audio staff of Joey Drew Studios worked at, where they wrote songs and recorded audio and music for the Bendy cartoons.

Background

Main lobby

The room is notable for the Music Department logo with music notes and records (although one of the records is missing). The room contains two radios from above, a Bendy cutout from the right side, and Sammy Lawrence's second audio log.

From the right side, there is a small room containing Alice Angel's "Sent From Above" poster, a garbage can, and a board.

From up north of the left side where the entrance to the recording studio is located, there is a rectangular-shaped screen with the word "RECORDING" flashing that only turns on after the Searchers are finished off for the first time.

Exit

The exit is located at the south from the lobby. It is a stairwell flooded with ink and has a single flight of stairs and ends with an exit door. From the ceiling are few pipes. From the right side of the entrance is the "POWER" switch, and pulling it will activate the lobby's light source power.

Henry's main objective is to drain the ink from the stairwell in order to get to the exit, although after activating the pump switch, Sammy knocks Henry out with a dustpan before reaching the exit.

Points of interests

  • The lever that turns the power on is by the stairwell. It powers the lights, the pipes, and metal gates.
  • Lots of bacon soup is scattered around the Music Department, allowing Henry to get one step closer to acquiring the Canadian Bacon achievement.
  • Most of the audio logs are scattered throughout the area, with the remaining ones either being below or before the Music Department. Here is the list of them all:
  • After the log "Lost Keys" plays, Henry is able to pick up Wally's keys and use it on the Music Department's closet.
  • My Favorite Song is required to turn the first valve. The log is inside the department's closet.
    • To access this valve, Henry has to turn on the projector, and then play the instruments in the order Sammy says to.
  • Once the Infirmary's flood has been removed, Henry can access the boiler room and find the second valve to Sammy's office.
  • In Sammy's office, a music radio is seen. This grants the player the Coast to Coast achievement.

Behind the scenes

The Music Department is the main location in the second chapter of Bendy and the Ink Machine. The location returned in Bendy: Lone Wolf as another level.
