Bendy and the Ink Machine Chapter 1: Moving Pictures

"PEEKABOO!" — The secret message outside the theater.

The theater is a room found in the Cycle. The theater represents a Joey Drew Studios room where a finished Bendy cartoon would be test-screened to the studios staff to predict how the cartoon in question would fare among the general public.

Background

The theater is a small room that contains two rows of chairs that are neatly aligned. To the left of the second row of chairs is a projector. There is also a large shelf on the right wall, and a screen to project film.

Near the entrance is a small closet where it set up to store spare projectors in the event any of the projectors already in use break or stop working. While infested with cobwebs, the shelf is filled with projectors, some tape reels, and a miniature Bendy cutout. There are few ink-stains covering one of the walls and paper sheets behind the shelf.

Points of interests

• It serves as the room where the ink pressure can be activated after collecting all ritual items for the Ink Machine.
  • When about to revisit the location after completing the first part of the puzzle, a Bendy cutout will peek out from the entrance.
  • Afterwards, when entering the room, the projector will be automatically turned on and the projection screen will play a small, looped dancing Bendy animation accompanied with the audio of his whistle.
  • Finally, it is required to turn the valve on the ink pressure machine, allowing the ink to flow through the pipes before activating the Ink Machine and causing the pipe to burst and get the room flooded with ink.
• The Bendy doll, one of the Ink Machine's ritual items, is localized on a chair of this room.
• From the projector closet, there is a single can of Bacon Soup, located on top of one of the projectors from the shelf's first section.
• When using the Seeing Tool, theMeatly's head image is revealed behind at the top right of the projector closet's doorway.

Behind the scenes

The theater room appears in Chapter 1: Moving Pictures of Bendy and the Ink Machine.

The location has undergone several changes until the DLC release of Chapter 4: Colossal Wonders:

• In the prototype demo and the first two remastered versions, the entrance lacks a small stair, the ink pressure machine has a simply-made design, Bendy's dance animation was different, and the room does not flood with ink when activating the ink pressure machine.
• Also in the prototype, the music that plays when the projector is turned on was "Hellfire Follies" instead of Bendy's whistle, and in the two next versions it was "You Left Me in a Heartbeat".
• When the projector closet was first made accessible in the game's first remastered update upon DLC release of Chapter 2: The Old Song, the room has a less amount of environments, lacking some objects such as the animation desk's tables.
  • The miniature Bendy cutout used the early glove design as opposed to the updated design appearing on all other cutouts. It has later been fixed in an update patch 0.2.
  • There was also no Bacon Soup located in this location until the DLC release of Chapter 3: Rise and Fall.
