Banish

"The powers of the ink are yours to command." — Banish ability's description pop-up.

Banish is an ability learned by the inhabitants from the Cycle. Its symbol is that of a screaming face, similar to the Searchers.

Users

So far, Audrey Drew is the only one who mastered this ability.

Usage

Banish is, hence its name, used for banishing any entities in physical contact. To use this ability, the user must place their inky hand on the entity. When used, it would cause the affected entity to disappear out of sight, teleporting them to the Dark Puddles in process.

It can be commonly used for banishing the Lost Ones, along with the Searchers but using Banish on them is rare.

Gameplay

Audrey can use this ability on the Lost Ones during combat, although it was impossible to use Banish on other enemies, including the Butcher Gang, Ink Widows, the Keepers, and boss-like entities.

When encountering the Lost Ones, it was required to crouch down, slowly sneak towards one of them from behind without getting seen by other Lost Ones, and then quickly use Banish. It can also restore a portion of Audrey's health.

Besides enemy fights, Audrey used Banish on some occasions, such as banishing her first-encountered Searcher to demonstrate the ability's use, nearly banished Bendy by accident, and banishing Wilson Arch's soul after fighting Shipahoy Wilson.

Behind the scenes

The Banish ability was first used in Bendy and the Dark Revival since Chapter 1: Drawn to Darkness.

Development

The introduction for the Banish ability was seen in the game's early 2019 gameplay trailer, where Audrey used Banish on the Piper. In the game's final release, however, it is not possible to use this ability on the Piper nor two other Butcher Gang members.
