This article contains a list of all Easter eggs hidden in Bendy and the Ink Machine.

List

Recurring secrets

theMeatly

Main article: theMeatly (Easter egg)

theMeatly, the game's creator, is a recurring Easter egg found in all chapters of the game up to date.

Music Easter Eggs

Main article: Radio

A Radio from each chapter plays a Bendy fan song, with the exception of Chapter 5's, as Lonely Angel is not a fan song, and was made by Joey Drew Studios.

Using the Seeing Tool next to the radios will display references to their specific songs for a couple of the songs, the ones used are:

  • "Listening and Always Watching" - Kyle's Bendy and the Ink Machine Song.
  • "Creator You Traitor" - DAGames' Build Our Machine.
  • "How Could One Resist This?" - Random Encounter's Bendy and the Ink Musical.

For an unknown reason, Cant Be Erased's reference was never implemented, however it still exists in the game files, the specific line from that song used would of been Shamed and Disgraced, and there are no remnants of a Lonely Angel reference at all.

Horror visions

Main article: Horror visions

Horror visions are event-based hallucinations, which Henry experiences throughout the chapters of Bendy and the Ink Machine upon completing certain requirements, and are needed to unlock the scythe and the internecion.

Internecion

Main article: Internecion

The internecion is a hidden challenge that can be completed in order to unlock the black-and-white mode.

Wandering Sin

Main article: Wandering Sin

The Wandering Sin cutouts are messed-up versions of the normal cutouts, with wide slightly detailed eyes, and holding a sign that reads WANDERING IS A TERRIBLE SIN.. These were added for hackers to find, and there is a long list of them that can be found out of bounds.

Other secrets

Bendy's whistle

In Chapter 2: The Old Song, after escaping the ritual room, walk in backwards to the corridor maze's ink-flooded room and hug against the door. If waiting long enough, Bendy's whistle of his theme song will be heard.

Broken headphones

From Chapter 3: Rise and Fall, on Level 14, it is possible to find a broken pair of headphones on the other wooden crate next to the one with Norman Polk's "Looking for Trouble" audio log. This is a reference to the YouTuber TZKUnit, after he got softlocked in Level 14, he proceeded to smash his headphones. TheMeatly noticed the clip on Twitter, and in the next hotfix, a pair of broken headphones was added right on the exact spot where TZK smashed his headphones previously.

"Top of the Morning" message

In Chapter 3, using the Seeing Tool on Shawn Flynn's "Crooked Smile" audio log will reveal the message "Top of the Morning", a reference to Jacksepticeye's catchphrase at the beginning of all of his videos.

Sammy Lawrence's hidden voice

In Chapter 3, there are instruments in one of the stairway halls on Level 11. Play the instruments in the following order:

  • Bass
  • Drum
  • Violin
  • Piano
  • Drum

If done it correctly, Sammy Lawrence's disembodied voice will be heard speaking with the message: "We've all been waiting, but now, he will set... us... free..."

Developer's book

In few chapters, like in Level P's small workshop room of Chapter 3, an opened book can be possibly found, consisting a paragraph of signature names of the game's team developers:

Companion Cube

In Chapter 4: Colossal Wonders, just after riding the lift across the cavern, use the Seeing Tool on one of the boxes and it will reveal a heart. This is a reference to Companion Cubes from the Portal series.

Administration board

In Chapter 5: The Last Reel, the board in the lobby and reception department area contain several names of not only characters from Bendy and the Ink Machine but also characters from other games and real-life people:

  • Bertrum Piedmont, Susie Campbell, Thomas Connor, and Sammy Lawrence's names can be seen.
  • "That weird puppet guy" is referring to theMeatly.
  • Hayden - UAC is a reference to Samuel Hayden, who is associated with the Union Aerospace Corporation in the 2016 Doom remake.
  • F. Fontaine is a reference to Frank Fontaine from BioShock, a game that Bendy and the Ink Machine is heavily inspired by.
  • Charles and his prodigies is a reference to the YouTuber ProdCharles, who uploaded videos of theories and analyzes on the Bendy series.
  • M.M is a reference to Mike Mood.
  • Dr. Hackenbush is a reference to the character of the same name from the Marx Brothers film A Day at the Races.
  • E. Misner is a reference to Michael Eisner.
