List of characters
Main characters
- Vessels - Silent, invisible entities, functioning as surrogates for the player(s), with no confirmed identity or motives of their own.
- Riley Wells - A teenager who lost their parents in a car accident, got hired and fired from Joey Drew Studios due to their horrific drawings, and then got hired at Gent, presumably as a test subject. During her time at Gent, she drinks a canister of Gent's ink, leaving her fate unknown.
Major characters
- Ragtime Guffie - Ragtime first appears as a simple figure in a hallway that disappears, and later is behind the large gate that leads to the Oldtime Theater, and if the player unlocks the gate he also appears outside on the balcony.
- Ink Demon - Although not appearing as a main threat, there are multiple ways for the player to encounter him, such as destroying a lot of cutouts to anger him, or simply waiting a few minutes. He also appears in the secret rave.
- Fred - A robot-like vending machine that dispenses empty tin cans.
- Bendy mascot costume - A costume designed after the cartoon character. It moves around when not being looked.
Minor characters
- Bendy - The little devil himself can be seen peeking through small vents when going over to the Oldtime Theater straight after opening it or going over to the door with two windows next to it.
- Alice Angel - She briefly appears during a specific secret, but she also has a voiceline if the protagonist destroys multiple cutouts. She also appears as one of the flippable images in the teaser room, and during the rave secret.
- Riley's parents - The parents of Riley who had died in a car crash. They appear in the portrait and their face gets covered with blood after the accident.
- Riley's teachers - A teacher of Riley and the school psychologist are seen having a conversation behind the psychologist's door during Riley's flashbacks.
- Joey Drew - Appears as a shadow in Riley's flashbacks, behind the door to his office. He also wrote Riley's acceptance letter.
- Slicer - Previously appeared during the rave secret, dancing.
- Wilson Arch Previously appeared during the rave secret, dancing. His monster form can be seen on one of the flippable images in the teaser room, along with his creation, Shipahoy Dudley.
- Sammy Lawrence - Previously appeared during the rave secret, dancing.
- Chester - Appeared during one of the updates on 4/14, in a solid ink form.
- Dewey - Appeared during one of the updates on 4/14, in a solid ink form.
- Ghost - A spectral entity who roams around the hidden areas.
- Fluffsy - A black-and-white alley cat.
- Boris the Wolf - A physical manifestation of Boris the Wolf and appears as the main protagonist of Bendy: Lone Wolf.
- Unnamed Keeper-like creature - A creature seen in a teaser that's presumably for Bendy: The Cage.
