"Look for anything you can use to break in. Maybe there's a Gent Pipe nearby."
Allison Angel to Audrey, Bendy and the Dark Revival: Chapter 1 - Drawn to Darkness[1]

The Gent Pipe is a makeshift weapon used mainly for defence against the hostile creatures in the Cycle. It's also Audrey's primary weapon.

History

Bendy Wiki:Canon
The following contains apocryphal information from the novel continuity which was not canon to the main series' storyline. See Bendy Wiki:Canon for more information.

The Gent Pipe was originally a part used in the Ink Machine before being taken out by Evan and somehow ending up in the Cycle.[2]

Description

Physical appearance

The Gent Pipe is made of two pipes with a piece of metal attaching them to each other, with one pipe being straight and the other being slightly curved at the end. Scratches, dents and ink splatters are all over the weapon. The metallic piece has the label "GENT" on both sides of it.

Usage

The Gent Pipe's normal usage would likely to have something (which would most likely be ink) flow through it. However, it's actual purpose is never seen, and instead it's used as a simple weapon to fend off those who are hostile to its holder.

Gameplay

Locations

Bendy and the Ink Machine

  • In Chapter 3: Rise and Fall, the Gent Pipe is given to Henry by Boris, and it's used as a weapon when Henry lacks any other item such as an axe or pipe wrench. Mainly, it's used to fend off Piper who appears two rooms after Boris hands over the pipe, the entire Butcher Gang who appear during Alice's second-to-last task, and The Projectionist if Henry hasn't attempted to get the two other weapons.
  • In Chapter 4: Colossal Wonders, three Gent Pipes can be created through an Ink Maker in order to attack Brute Boris while he's stunned. A Gent Pipe is also held by Tom after Alice's death.
  • In Chapter 5: The Last Reel, Henry finds a Gent Pipe in the tank of a toilet, which is used against multiple Searchers, the thick ink clogging up the barge's paddlewheel, and Sammy during his boss fight. Gent Pipes are also held by multiple Lost Ones during the Lost Harbor battle. A large Gent Pipe is seen above the door to the Gent Home Office. Finally, there's also concept art for the Gent Pipe in Joey Drew's apartment.
  • In Chapter ?: The Archives, the Gent Pipe makes a minor appearance, being held by Tom.

Bendy and the Dark Revival

Audrey gets the Gent pipe from a Lost One's chest cavity. This Gent Pipe is Audrey's main melee weapon for the entire game.

The pipe can be upgraded at upgrade stations using pipe schematics. These upgrades need to be recharged, and can be done at battery refills.

Gent Pipe

Gent Pipe is the default state of the pipe.

Lock Pipe

Lock Pipe is an upgraded version of the pipe, used to access areas that are closed off by Gent locks.

Shock Pipe

Shock Pipe is the second upgraded version of the pipe, letting the player shock enemies.

Stun Pipe

Stun Pipe is the max upgraded version of Audrey's pipe. The tool is a modified Gent Pipe with an added battery pack, antennae, and some additional pipes. Whenever it is charged, sparks have been seen on the antennae. It may be used as a weapon to stun Keepers, which can leave them overloaded for a few seconds.

Behind the scenes

The Gent Pipe first appears in Bendy and the Ink Machine and has appeared in every chapter except the first two. It reappeared in Bendy and the Dark Revival with multiple upgrades and mechanics.

The Gent Pipe was first introduced as the default weapon in Chapter 3 when Henry is not given any others. Prior to the DLC release of Chapter 4: Colossal Wonders, the Gent Pipe had a different animation, quickly moving down and up instead of a swinging animation.
