The Striker is a corrupted clone of Joey Drew Studios' cartoon character Edgar and part of the Butcher Gang.

History

Early life

The Striker and two other Butcher Gang members had some of their body parts used by Alice Angel, resulting their oddly disfigured appearance.

Unleashed

The Striker was first found locked in the wooden box with two other members. Once released, the Striker will be wandering around the levels and will chase Boris when seen in front of his sight.

Doing the angel's bidding

The Striker was encountered by Henry on Level P after starting Alice's fetch quest for valve cores. The Striker's extendable left arm is attached with a valve core on it. Henry will be able to obtain the valve core after killing the Striker.

In the task of defending Alice's lair, the Striker, along with the other two Butcher Gang enemies, invades Level 9 and Henry needs to wipe out all of them before taking on the next task.[1]

Gathered around the fire

The Striker and the other members are later encountered in the Research & Design department of Bendy Land, where they gather around a fire in a barrel. Henry must use empty Bacon Soup cans to create a distraction and draw them away from the entrances to nearby rooms before he can enter to pull the lever to power up the Haunted House. If the Striker sees Henry, the best way is always to run away especially by sprinting and jumping, repeating it strategically until the objective is complete.

Characteristics

Physical appearance

The Striker bears a drastically different appearance in contrast to his original cartoon counterpart. The Striker's head has shoelace-like straps sewn onto his forehead and equipped with an extra mouth with chattering teeth on the top of his head, while his original lipped mouth was sewn together with stitches. His right eye was replaced with a movable human-like eyeball, placed in the eye-socket with three straps, and a left cartoon eye remain normal and unchanged. His body has three thin arms ending with hands that wear white gloves in which the original Edgar did not have, but one of his left arms is missing; he has an extender bar for his left arm and ends with a gloved cartoon hand.

In Bendy and the Ink Machine, Striker's head has few thread-like stitches for the forehead part, small squarish cheeks covered in white boil-like textures, and his lipped mouth has a darker color. There is a hose connecting Striker's extender bar arm to what seems to resemble some kind of metal tubes that are shaped like opened-wide "lips". His body has a long pear-shaped stomach, shorter legs, and wears two-darted white gloves. Edgar seems to have problems with his ankles, as his right foot moves awkwardly when not going after his target, and drags his left foot when running, but despite this, he is a very fast runner.

In Bendy and the Dark Revival, Striker's head is now faintly triangular in shape and he has visible wrinkles on his face. The stitches on his head are now significantly adjusted with more of them covering the mouth on his head, with ones on his lips being less tight. On the topic of mouths, Striker is now able to open his lips and his primary mouth, while his secondary mouth's teeth appear to be smaller and crooked. His eyes has visible bags, and a visible reflection within them. His body is now smaller and far more arachnid-like in shape while his limbs are segmented like that of an actual spider. Instead of having an extender bar and a hose for his spring-loaded arm, he now has a hinge and a port that make his single left arm far smaller when fully retracted. The metal tubes that were once on his abdomen, have now been replaced with a belt that wraps around him sideways.

Abilities

The Striker uses his extendable left arm to do a long-range punching attack. His main ability is a reminiscent to that of a spider, as he can climb up walls and ceilings and can jump down from the vents to ambush his prey.

Gameplay

Bendy and the Ink Machine

Strategy

In Chapter 3, the Striker deals +1 damage point to Henry, slowly taking up to +6 hits to kill him. In Chapter 4 and 5, the Striker inflicts +3 damage points, taking only +2 hits to kill Henry.

Bendy and the Dark Revival

Strategy

Striker would usually appear in open shafts above the ceiling. To avoid him, chekc if he's in the shaft or not. You can also escape from the shaft by using Flow.

Behind the scenes

The Striker is one of the recurring enemies in the Bendy series. He first appeared in Bendy and the Ink Machine, from the third to fifth chapter. He later appeared in Bendy and the Dark Revival. He also appeared in Bendy: Lone Wolf since The Unleashed update.

Development

The Striker is conceptualized when the third Bendy and the Ink Machine chapter's DLC release is in development. From the official trailer prior to the third chapter's release, the Striker made a very brief yet nearly obscured appearance, where he was seen running across the room's bridge above the Little Miracle Station.

From the concept art by theMeatly, which was seen in the Bendy and the Ink Machine archives chapter, the Striker's original design bears a slight amount of traits that were either changed or absent in-game: his sewn lips had a lighter tan color rather than dark shades of orange/brown, lacking an extra right arm, few small armor-like plates on his right arm and a connected hose, a few ink drips under the head, and a gun scope attached to his extender bar arm.

The Striker was later redesigned with a more insect-looking design for his Bendy and the Dark Revival appearance. From the concept art by Gavin McCarthy, the Striker's main mouth originally had a pair of large fang-like pinchers.

Portrayal

The Striker was voiced by theMeatly in Bendy and the Ink Machine, although all of his voicelines were reused from the Piper along with the Fisher. In Bendy and the Dark Revival, he was given with his own voice actor; his voice was done by Gary McClenaghan.
